I made bad coffee until I realised that coffee brewing could be decoded. I just had to learn enough about the process and then solve the problems I encountered. So after a lot of bad coffee and many mistakes I found myself making good coffee, repeatedly.

I still think of myself as a “beginner” because there is so much to learn. Though I approach learning about coffee and brewing seriously.

I hope my articles help you get started if are a beginner to brewing. If you’re more than a beginner, my articles also focus on relevant knowledge and concepts that helped expand my skills.

My coffee methods are: French Press (plunger) and Automatic Espresso Machine with a new interest in Pour Over.

I fell in love with Coffee during my time as an engineering undergraduate. Back then, coffee was a necessity to survive. Over the years however it has grown into a passion to savour.

I have no formal training but have evolved from brewing old pre-ground coffee beans on a french drip machine (thinking myself a connoisseur) to waking up each morning and choosing between bean, method and grind size (knowing that I am not).

I love sharing my experiences, experiments and discoveries with others and hope to get feedback as well because coffee is a very uniquely individual experience.

My coffee methods are: Pour Over (Hario), AeroPress, French Press (plunger), Moka Pot, and when I am feeling particularly lazy, Nespresso.
